Furnace died in the late afternoon and I dreaded trying to find someone to help on a Sunday night. OHS came up regularly on a quick social media scrape so I gave them a shot. Left a message and within 20 minutes Niko K was walking me through some troubleshooting while finishing his dinner. Sadly, he was unable to work that level of magic, but showed up at my door only a couple of hours later after finishing two other calls. He was thorough, helpful and most of all, genuine. He helped to ensure I had good ventilation to move the hot air from the fireplace around the house and even offered to loan me a heater from his supply in his truck. He’s coming by later today with the replacement part and I am confident I’ll have a cozy sleep tonight.

Ottawa Home Services removed my old gas hot water tank and installed a Navien tankless. Service is seamless, price is highly competitive and the installation was fast and really well done. Dana and Kevin did an amazing job setting up the work and Clayton’s installation was so quiet that my 9-month-old was able to nap while they were installing the unit. Barely even noticed they were there. Incredible service and will definitely use them again.

The service technician (Pierre) that you sent was the best ever:

• He gave me some good advice on the furnace filter – I had 2 in series for the air cleaner (electrostatic) and furnace (paper barrier) he had me remove the electrostatic one to improve the airflow – this made a difference last week when the A/C was working
• He showed the simple clean for the air filter intake on the tankless water heater
• And other useful stuff.

I thought (Pierre) was excellent. Great attitude, good quick job, excellent explanations of the condition of my HVAC eqpt and really good tips J
He made some changes to my set-up that improved the operation and efficiency

I would like to convey my thanks to the crew which installed, last week, the Carrier Infinity gas furnace, air conditioner and gas hot water tank.
In addition to being impressed with the work, its coordination and the overall manner in which it was done, the team was efficient, results-focused and conscious about keeping things clean, not an easy task given the nature of an oil-to-gas conversion.

I also want extend a particular thanks to Troy, the team lead. He always seemed to be on-top of the project, created a positive team environment, and, was a collaborative problem-solver with me. I’m referring here to his can-do approach and follow-through regarding the ultimate location of the air conditioning unit and the running of its cooling lines through a finished basement. Once the total installation and final clean-up were completed, Troy appropriately took the time to do a walk-around, inside and outside, to explain the various components including a demo of the system’s Infinity Touch Control.

In brief, this relatively significant and somewhat disruptive home upgrade project went very smoothly and to my complete satisfaction. Ottawa Home Services is certainly a heating and cooling company which I would easily endorse. Competitive pricing is not everything in such domestic matters.

I wanted to let you know that the “Two Matt’s” did a bang-up job on the install today – neat, tidy and clean and it was a treat to see those red carpets covering my floors all the way to my bedroom.

The “Lineset” is excellent and the white was the best choice running right next to the downspout. Took some photos for you. The final photo shows how the white lineset just marries in with all the other white corner trim on the house.

One of the things we did before deciding to go with OHS was to obtain ‘competitive quotes’ from a number of service providers on comparable systems. OHS was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us to determine which type of a/c unit would best meet our needs and our budget, and the cost and quality of service associated with the model from OHS were the main factors in our decision to go with OHS over the other service providers.
