Our Mitsubishi Heat Pump Models

Homeowners want heat and cooling solutions that provide reliable technology and energy efficiency at a reasonable price. The Mitsubishi Electric Zuba cold climate heat pump was designed to be a primary heating system for Canadian winters.

A heat pump is a heating and cooling system that cycles hot or cold air depending on the season. It has both an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. Heat pumps work by flowing warmth into the home from the outdoor air. Warm indoor air passes through a refrigerant coil, which absorbs the heat energy and evaporates into a warmer gas form. This warm gas refrigerant gets pumped into the outdoor unit’s compressor. Now the refrigerant is much warmer than the outdoor air, and it gets distributed back throughout the heating system.

Mitsubishi Electric heating and air conditioning systems provide superior home comfort, lower energy costs, reduced carbon footprint with zero emissions, and ultra-quiet heating and air conditioning in any climate.

Mitsubishi Zuba Central Heat Pump

A whole-home solution for centrally-ducted systems. It installs easily into new or existing ductwork and delivers better performance than traditional baseboard, oil, and propane systems. Suitable for a variety of home sizes.

The Zuba Central has variable compressor speed inverter (VCSI) technology, which enables more effective and efficient temperature control.

Mitsubishi Zuba Single Heat Pump

This model is suitable for ductless older homes with no room to install ductwork. It’s a single-zone solution that offers comfort and control for rooms such as enclosed patios, basements, over-garage bedrooms, or any room that never seems to be at the correct temperature.

Mitsubishi Zuba Single Plus Heat Pump

Similar to the Zuba Single Heat Pump, the Single Plus is more advanced. It features the exclusive Mitsubishi Cold Climate Hyper-Heat Plus technology.

Mitsubishi Zuba Multi Heat Pump

Ideal for homes without existing ductwork, the Multi provides a more energy-efficient and cost-effective way to heat and cool your home as compared to many traditional HVAC solutions. Zuba Multi allows for individual temperature settings for up to 8 zones throughout your home so that everyone can be comfortable in the space they’re in.

About Heat Pumps Benefits

There are amazing benefits to installing a heat pump! In the chart above, we use some ratings and technical terms. Here is what they mean.

SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio)

In the case of heat pumps, SEER is your summer energy efficiency rating. The higher the number, the better.

HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor)

For heat pumps, HSPF is your energy efficiency rating when the system is heating your home. The higher the number, the more efficient and cost-saving your heating system will be.

Infinity System Compatibility

Carrier’s Infinity system is designed to give you the ultimate indoor environment with excellent energy efficiency. The Infinity thermostat control is designed to integrate with your heat pump, furnace, humidifier and air filtration units to ensure the air you breathe at home is as comfortable and healthy as possible. With correct humidification, you naturally feel warmer in winter and cooler in summer – you don’t have to use as much energy to get the temperature you want.

Greenspeed Intelligence

Greenspeed allows your system to choose the most efficient way to run in order to meet your preset temperature and humidity and air quality requirements. It offers the most precise control and adaptability to conditions possible.

Puron Refrigerant

Puron emits no ozone-depleting chemicals, like freon, ammonia, or other chemicals can. It is non-flammable and non-corrosive. It also performs extremely well in cooling systems, including under pressurization. It has the added benefit of being cost effective to make and use.

Since its use began in 1996, it has been used safely and effectively in millions of homes. It is by far the most eco-friendly of all refrigerants.
